Our research seeks to understand host-pathogen interactions through the lens of the human adaptive immune system with the ultimate goal of reducing the health burden due to arbovirus infections. We also aim to develop and implement serodiagnostic approaches to support epidemiologic and translational research on arbovirus infection.

Dan Hunt, MD is the Director of the Emory Division of Hospital Medicine and Professor of Medicine at Emory University of School of Medicine. Before moving from Massachusetts General Hospital to Emory in 2015, Dan’s professional experience included private practice of general internal medicine, academic internal medicine at a safety-net hospital, extensive involvement in medical education, and substantial leadership experience at major academic medical centers. Dr. Lim is Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at Emory University School of Medicine and Professor of Epidemiology at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. He is also the Chief of Rheumatology for Grady Health Systems, the only safety net hospital in Atlanta, where he founded and directs the Grady Lupus Clinic. His primary clinical interest is in the improvement in the diagnosis and management of lupus, particularly as it relates to racial health disparities.
His research interests are in the epidemiology, outcomes, and contributions of social determinants of health in lupus disparities.
